We’re Sarah and Devon and it is our privilege to write this letter to you. You hold such a special place in our hearts. We respect your strength and selflessness in considering adoption and we thank you for reading this. We look forward to sharing more information about our family as well as getting to know you! We believe that people’s paths cross for a reason and sincerely hope that we have been put in each other’s lives for a very special reason. We consider being adoptive parents a true gift. We admire the immense love you have for your baby and we want you to know that we've never been more ready to welcome a child into the life we have built. We have celebrated 7 wonderful years of marriage, are financially stable, and are fortunate that Sarah will be staying at home full-time with our children. We promise to provide your child with a loving home filled with laughter, faith, and joy.About Us
We met ten years ago in college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and we shared an instant bond. We both shared the same faith, passions, and interests in life. We live healthy and active lives and we have a lot of fun together! We enjoy river rafting, visiting National Parks, camping, skiing, water sports, and we also cherish the time spent with our family and friends. Our favorite place to vacation is Hawaii. We have enjoyed scuba diving, surfing, and hiking there. We believe that the best is yet to come and we look forward to the day we’ll be able to share our lives with a child.
A little about Sarah from Devon
Sarah was born and raised in Northern California with her brother and sister. She is very close to her large extended family and we are fortunate that many live nearby. Sarah is 30 and received her degree in Communication from Cal Poly. She enjoys the simple pleasures in life such as spending time with family and friends, nature, reading, learning, guitar, yoga, playing soccer, and writing. She has a strong interest in social issues and is passionate about holistic nutrition. She spends her time volunteering in the local community, cooking organic meals from scratch, and homemaking. Sarah is the love of my life. I knew from the moment I met her that she was someone special. She is inspirational, creative, kind, and good-natured. She amazes me with her vision for our home and family and it is what drives her in all that she does. She has such a desire to invest in the people she loves; she is a natural builder and encourager. She gives her best always and makes every occasion wonderful for me and for family and friends. Our friends’ children love Sarah; she has a special gift with children. She has cherished the time spent with kids as a teacher, soccer coach, friend, and aunt. She has an unshakable faith and an unswayable moral compass. She has a great heart with an amazing capacity to love and nurture and gives selflessly to others in her life – she will be an incredible mother!
A little about Devon by Sarah
Devon grew up in Southern California with three siblings and a wonderful family. He enjoyed playing sports, surfing, playing guitar, and spending time with friends. He developed a strong work ethic through high school and college as a lifeguard and engineer. Devon is 31 and he is fortunate to work for a company that serves our nation and values a work-life balance. Devon finds his work meaningful and also has a genuine interest in giving back to the community. He tutors teenagers in science and math and serves as a volunteer within our city. Devon places a high value on education; he received a Master’s degree in Engineering and an MBA from Cal Poly and continues postgraduate studies at Stanford. Devon has many interests and enjoys spending time outdoors, playing with our dog, maintaining our garden, walking, biking, golfing, cooking, playing guitar, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Devon is the true love of my life and being with him makes my heart feel at home. He is selfless, dependable, trustworthy, driven, loyal, devoted, funny, and loving. He is solution-oriented and handles challenging situations with grace, faith, and a hopeful outlook. Devon is a man of integrity and he will be a wonderful father. Devon is my best friend and he puts his family first in all he does.
Our Home
We live in a small, suburban neighborhood in a safe and family-friendly community. Within a few miles of our home, there are beautiful parks, excellent schools, walking trails, farmers markets, festivals, and other residential communities. We are also close to the mountains and the California coast. We share our home with our sweet dog, Ellie. Ellie loves to play with kids, get belly-rubs, go for walks, and travel!
Our Family Life
We have a loving family and an incredible group of friends. We enjoy spending summers in Tahoe on the lake and going to the mountains in the winter with our family and friends. We enjoy family dinners, visits with our friends, entertaining, and playing games. Our relationship with God is the center of our marriage and will continue to come first in our family life. We attend a wonderful church that has great youth programs. We value education and plan to share our love of learning with our children and provide them opportunities to enrich their lives and pursue their interests and talents. We look forward to daily walks to the park, cooking, playing together, spending the afternoon at the pool, story time, family gatherings, and creating and passing on family traditions. We are so thankful for the blessings of a well-rounded life and can’t wait to share it with our future children!
