Thank you so much for taking time to read our profile. We know this must be a very challenging decision, and we appreciate you considering us to be the adoptive parents for your child. We admire your courage and selflessness, and if you choose us, we promise to be the most loving and caring parents to your child. We will make sure that your child knows you loved them and wanted to provide the best life possible.

About Us...
We have been married for 6 years and are so excited to raise a family. We met through mutual friends at their wedding, dated for about a year and half and got engaged on a wonderful trip to Maui. It was very romantic - Jon proposed while we were chatting underneath a large banyan tree. We had a wonderful wedding surrounded by all our family and friends in San Francisco. Now we live with our two adopted cats in the west San Fernando Valley (Southern California). There are excellent schools in our area, and we are just a short drive over the hill to the beach!

Our Family...
Our entire family is anxiously awaiting our new addition. Jon has two sisters, each married with a son and a daughter. One sister lives in Ventura (a short drive away), and the other in a small town in Pennsylvania. All four future cousins are very ready to welcome a baby girl or boy to the family. Kristen has one brother who is also married and they have a little Chihuahua, Joey, who is also very excited to become a 'cousin' (they live in Huntington Beach). Both Jon and Kristen are blessed to come from loving and supportive families - Jon's parents, who live nearby in a beach town called Oxnard, just celebrated 48 years of marriage, and Kristen's parents just celebrated their 39th anniversary (they reside in the San Francisco Bay Area). Our parents get along so wonderfully, we just wish they lived closer!

Our two furry 'babies' are sister (Waker) and brother (Zooey) cats who we rescued four years ago. They are now 14 years old - but still run around the house and act like kittens. They both are so easy-going and great with kids! Zooey, especially, loves to be petted and loves to lie on Jon's arm while we are watching TV.

Our Life...
Both of us have enjoyed successful careers. Jon is Senior Vice President of a boutique commercial real estate firm located in downtown Los Angeles. Kristen has worked at an internet software company that is closely tied to the music industry for the past 10 years. She enjoys a flexible schedule right now, but she is ready to leave her full-time position once a baby arrives so she can start a new career as a stay-at-home-mom.

We are a healthy couple with a busy and active life. Some of our favorite activities are: going to the beach, attending music shows/festivals, camping, hiking, swimming in our pool, riding our bikes around the neighborhood, visiting friends and family, going to Disneyland, and going on vacation!

Jon loves to go fishing (both deep-sea and lake/river). He plans at least one trip to the lake with his nephews, brother-in-laws and dad each year and tries to get out deep sea fishing with his dad too. He also loves to root on his favorite football teams - and we enjoy hosting football parties during the season.

Kristen's passion is the environment and volunteers for a few local organizations. She is a certified whale-watching naturalist and also gives beach clean-up talks for Heal the Bay. Both Jon and Kristen also LOVE music and live concerts. We have flown as far as Hawaii to see Jon's favorite, Pearl Jam and Kristen's favorite, U2 to perform a concert together. We have wide-range of musical tastes from rock to reggae to classical and can't wait to take the little one to his/her first show (maybe it will be the Wiggles?) :)

Our Dreams and Values...
Our greatest goal is to raise a child that is happy, kind, tolerant, generous, self-confident and responsible. We will support your child in whatever activity your child wants to participate in - whether it is sports, music or the arts. We will encourage a college education. We want them to enjoy life to the fullest and have a wonderful childhood surrounded by people who love your child.

We appreciate you taking time to read about us. We know that the perfect birth mother will find us, and that we'll fit her values and ideas for her child. We like the idea of 'open adoption' because it allows for the child to ask questions, be aware of where they came from and know their history.

We are going to strive to be the best parents we can be. We understand the huge responsibility of raising a child, and we are ready for both the fun and the challenges ahead!
