Jon and Heather
Hey Y’all,
We're Jon and Heather, two ordinary people who dream of having a family. We don't live in a mansion, but our house is full of love. We don't take exotic trips, but we have fun wherever we go. We live in Georgia and believe in southern hospitality. We hope that once you get to know us you'll see that we will love your child unconditionally and can provide him or her with a loving, stable, and fun family to grow up in. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us!
Our Story
We met while serving in the Air Force together. We were both stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina and lived next door to each other in the dorms. We started spending time together as friends, and felt an immediate connection. We knew we were the one for each other and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
We've been married six wonderful years and can't wait to start a family together. Our struggles with infertility were hard on both of us, but it also strengthened us. I know that if we can make it through that, we can get through anything together. It also taught us patience, persistence, and gratitude.
Whenever we have free time we enjoy playing golf together. Neither of us is very good, but we still enjoy it. On weekends we like going to baseball and hockey games. We also like having cook-outs with friends and family and playing corn-hole.
Jon is a firefighter, and loves his job. His schedule is unique; he works two days then has three days off, so he is able to be home a lot. He also gets a lot of vacation time, which we enjoy. Heather is looking forward to being a stay at home mom until our child starts school at which point she plans to return to work as an ultrasound technician.
We look forward to being parents and want to experience everything that brings. We are even looking forward to all those sleepless nights and countless dirty diapers.

Meet Jon
I was born and raised in California. I have an older sister who I am very close with. She lives a few miles away from us and we see her every couple days. My parents have been married 31 years and are a wonderful example of what marriage should be. My family will definitely be a big part of your child’s life.
I joined the Air Force to be a firefighter. I served four years, and enjoyed it, but I love being a civilian again. I’ve always wanted to be a firefighter, and am lucky to be doing what I love. My schedule allows us to take lots of trips and I will spend a lot of time at home with our child!
In Heather’s Eyes
Jon is funny, caring, and impulsive. I feel so lucky to have him in my life. From the moment we met there was just an amazing connection like nothing I’d ever known. He truly is my best friend; whenever I have something to share he is the first person I want to tell. I love the way he makes me laugh, he’s a big goof-ball. We always have so much fun together, and he always knows how to make me smile. We’ve always said that the phrase “opposites attract” describes us perfectly. We are so different, but also so alike. Jon balances me perfectly. Whenever I’m stressing out or worrying about something, he knows how to make me stop and relax and just go with the flow.
Jon and I have shared so much together, and have overcome things most couples don’t have to go through. While in the military, we had to deal with two deployments overseas. Being apart for so long made us really appreciate what we have and cherish our time together. Jon is a wonderful, caring husband and will make an excellent father. He’s such a natural at relating and talking to children, and they love him. I know he will give so much to your child. I’ve always believed that there is one person out there for everyone, and I know I’ve found mine.

Meet Heather
I was born in Virginia and raised in North Carolina. I have a younger brother and wonderful parents. I am very close to my family; we see them as much as possible and we talk all the time. My parents are looking forward to spoiling their first grandchild.
I joined the Air Force right out of high school, mostly because I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life and I wanted to see the world. I’m glad I did because it taught me maturity, and gave me some unique experiences. I spent 5 months in Africa, and got to see a part of the world I never even knew existed. I also met Jon because of the Air Force, how else would a Carolina girl have ever met a California boy? I served six years, and now I’m looking forward to staying home for a few years to focus on raising our child. Then I will return to work as an ultrasound technician.
In Jon’s Eyes
Heather is the friendliest and most caring person I have ever met. I have never heard her say a bad thing about another person as long as I’ve known her. She can be a little shy at times, but that is also what makes her so sweet. Heather has always been the type of person who goes out of her way to make sure everyone around her is happy. She is the type of person who will sacrifice and give up what she wants if it benefits the people she cares about. I have seen the way Heather is around children and families. She is very nurturing and loves to laugh and smile. I know she will be a wonderful mother.
I am very proud of my wife. She is always going out of her way to do things for other people. Whether it is volunteering for the Habitat for Humanity or the Ronald McDonald House, or spending her whole weekend baking desserts for the firefighters I work with, Heather always does it with a smile and never asks for anything in return. I love Heather with all of my heart and I feel so lucky to have her in my life.
Our House
We live close to downtown Savannah, Georgia. It is a very historic town with lots of culture. We recently bought our first home and love having our own space.
We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a small and friendly neighborhood. There are always kids out riding bikes and families walking dogs. We have a large back yard that is perfect for cook-outs and will give a child plenty of room to play and grow. Our first thought when we saw the house was that it's the perfect place to raise children!
Our Family
Our family is very important to us. We are close to our immediate and extended family and see them all as much as possible. Our families have always been there for us and are extremely supportive and caring. When we told them our plans to adopt everyone responded with genuine excitement and congratulations. They will definitely be part of your child's life and are just as excited as we are about adopting. They can't wait to welcome a new addition to the family!
We have two cats, Rascal and Misty. They joined our family shortly after we got married and are six years old. They are very cuddly and curious, and are looking forward to playing with a new brother or sister!
Final Thoughts
Thank you for taking the time to read about us and for considering us in your adoption plan. If you choose us as your child’s adoptive parents, know that your child will have all the love in the world and will be surrounded by family. You will always be in our hearts, and your child will grow up knowing about you and your selfless gift of adoption.
We look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your story and hopes for your son or daughter.
Best Wishes!
