Choosing the perfect family to raise your child is one of the most courageous and selfless acts imaginable and already shows us how much you care about your child's well-being. We applaud and admire your incredible strength and spirit for making this decision. We would love the opportunity to continue on the path of love, caring, and commitment you have provided for this small miracle by bringing them into the world.
We are Jim and Kim, and we are excited to begin a new chapter in our lives by raising a child together. We are excited for you to learn about our family and how we can provide a happy and joyful life for a child. We hope that you enjoy reading our story.

Life is a Dance, Kim is my Best Partner
Kim has spunk, vitality, and a magical ability to create close caring friendships with adults and children alike. In getting to know her while dating, I quickly recognized we both enjoyed a wide variety of life experiences that centeredaround family, friends and most of all, having fun.
Kim’s life revolves around children.Kim taught elementary school (4th grade) for 4 years because she loves teaching and education. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Education, she changed jobs to pursue a new educational career as well as teaching dance. I admired Kim because she faced life’s challenges head-on with tremendous courage and personal strength.
While Kim was a single mom, she ran the largestBallroom dance studio in her area. She organizedevents to showcase her students’ talents, making them feel proud and accomplished. Kim herself even won a celebrity charity Dancing with the Stars event,and has friends that regularly appear on the television series Dancing with the Stars!
Since then, Kim has started another Dance Academy where she teaches Ballroom, as well as Jazz, Tap, and Ballet to children. It’s amazing to see her 3 year olds performing Fox Trot and Swing on stage! Time and again I see children naturally gravitate to Kim’s caring nature, her warmth, and good humor. Her natural people skills show in everything she does.
Kim’s flexible schedule allows her to stay at home, giving her the time to care for and nurture Gabriel and prepare for our new baby. Kim balances everyday activities like coaching our son on his homework with special moments like performing with him in shows and taking Musical Theatre classes with him. She even sneaks veggies into our son’s meals and desserts to keep him healthy and happy! When we visit friends, she immediately makes a beeline for the babies, happily changing diapers, holding, and feeding them. I can’t wait for her to be a mother again!
Kim and I both live by the motto, “Enjoy Life, This is not a dress rehearsal,” and we are excited to have our newest addition complete our family!
About My Partner, Jim
Jim is the best person I know.
Jim and I met when I was a single mom running my own dance studio where he came to take dance lessons. We quickly became friends because I respected his sharp mind, and he provided great business advice to me. As I got to know him, I realized he is hysterically funny, creative, romantic and a thoughtful person as well.
Jim can move! He competed in 2 forms of couples dancing, West Coast Swing and New York Hustle, while getting his MBA, and at the same time running his own Internet Company. On our date nights, we’d have so much fun dancing together, and I quickly learned that Jim loves coming up with fun new ideas, new gadgets to play with, or exciting adventures for our family.
Going to the park is an all-day adventure with him because Jim packs a huge duffle bag filled with everything from Frisbees to sand toys, kites and air rockets which cause kids to come running; he truly is the human Jungle Jim! He likes to give kids rides on blankets throughout the house, wrestle with them on the couch or jump and play in the ball pit with them.
With his Italian background, Jim is also a fantastic cook. Some of our best evenings together are spent enjoying his delicious chicken picatta while discussing new ideas for his company or our next family adventure, with lively dinner music playing in the background. With Master’s degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Business Administration and years of creative brainstorming, it seems like Jim can almost make anything happen.
Jim can make me feel good instantly, especially during trying times. He’s a great source of strength and comfort for me whenever I need that little extra TLC. I know he will bring these traits to nurturing a baby, and he or she will be so lucky to have a father that is an exceptional provider, and who is loving, and strong. I can’t wait until he’s a father again!

Meet Gabriel
Talk about personality - Gabriel is our wonderful six-year-old boy who loves art, dancing, singing, and Hot Wheels cars. He always has a funny story to tell, and a silly face to make. His Kindergarten artworkstands out; he draws and paints amazing pictures for his age, and expresses himself beautifully through his images. Gabriel loves learning new words, remembers songs and lyrics easily, and loves going on train rides. He also craves being around other kids and is addicted to hugging people that make him happy. He even wraps his arms around the school crossing guard at the end of the day on our walk home!He brings a smile to our hearts.
Gabriel also has an amazing sensitive side, and thinks of others. Often he will sit down at his art table, unprompted, and create a beautiful card for his grandparents just to show them he loves them. He is naturally inquisitive and is interested in most everything, except vegetables. He is especially interested in having a brother or sister. He wants to be in charge of making the baby laugh and showing a sibling the ropes. We will enjoy watching Gabriel and his new partner-in-crime grow together.

Our Family and Friends
Jim is the youngest of 3, and Kim is the middle child of 3! Between the two of us, we have a large and lively extended family! Gabriel is so lucky to have 4 Grandparents and 3 Great Grandparents that are all anxious to spoil a new baby. By sheer numbers our holidays are full of life and joy. Because our family and friends are everything to us, we make every opportunity to plan family gatherings, dinners and activities together.
To every child’s delight, Kim’s family lives close to Disneyland and LegoLand. They live walking distance to the beach, which allows for all kinds of outdoor activities! Her parents vacation in the Palm Springs area where the annual big Thanksgiving celebration takes place with 2 turkeys. Kim’s brother is a fireman, and we frequent his fire station where the kids pole slide and ride on the fire truck! Kim’s sister is a Life Coach, and her nephew is a 12 year old who loves his X-box. Kim’s parents enjoy cooking, decorating, and her mom organizes elaborate art projects for the grandkids.
Jim’s family has careers in the medical sciences and enjoys outdoor sports and recreation and many, many hobbies. Family occasions are filled with building trains, science toys, Legos, racing remote control cars and dinosaurs inside, and hiking, camping, skiing, fishing and playing tennis outside. Gabriel’s cousins live only 20 minutes away in the nearby mountains, in a beautiful redwood forest. They have a real tree house built into the Redwood trees, many trails on which to hike and explore, a huge outdoor deck for evening dinners and for raising their garden vegetables. They have hamsters and salt-water fish, and even raise chickens!
Just around the corner we have the most incredible friends that we consider to be our extended family. We are blessed to have such a rich support network, and there is NEVER a dull moment. On Sundays during the summer we have a barbeque tradition where we all get together for outdoor dinners and for playtime with the kids. There are tons of kids and games, a ball pit, electric cars, hoola-hoops and a great time to be had by parents and kids alike. Everyone is just waiting in anticipation to add a new baby to the mix!
And last but not least, meet our adorable dog whom we rescued…. the King of the Couch, Bentley!
Our Home and Community
Our Home
We have lived in our spacious and cozy home for almost 3 years now. It has 4 bedrooms, a downstairs playroom, huge kitchen, family room, and a dining room that is often full of kids, friends, and family sharing meals together. Trusty Bentley keeps the squirrels at bay in our backyard that is perfect for a little one to ride a big wheel, play in the sprinklers, and soak in the beautiful California weather!
We live in a safe neighborhood, 5 houses from a huge, amazing park with 5 play structures, picnic areas, tennis courts and a big open field for kite flying and playing Frisbee. We have spent hours there on the play equipment, practicing soccer in the open spaces, and taking long walks with Bentley. It’s the perfect place filled with lots of young children and families picnicking. We can even walk Gabriel and his brother or sister to school together because it is only 5 blocks away.
Boy do we have Fun!
Jim and I began our love affair together dancing. And while we love dancing together, we share many other interests. We love going to the beach or exploring new areas along the California Coast. (Kim is very fond of lighthouses), so we often visit different beaches and state parks, and plan a lot of beach activities.
What I think we do best, however, is family. On weekends, we spend at least one day piling in the car to take a day trip. We become adventurers and we explore new places. We have taken trips to Lake Tahoe, Disneyland, 6 Flag amusement parks, the Boardwalk and even air shows with the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels. But beyond the fun, we are there for each other. We are a strong family and we are dedicated to making a meaningful life filled with unconditional love, guidance, meaning.
Completing our Family
We hope you can see that we have built a life around raising children. We are blessed to have created a fun, unique, and exciting lifestyle. We have both worked hard to build this life for children and family, but what we are missing is a precious baby. Raising a child together would complete our story, and after learning that we cannot have a child of our own, we are honored to be considered for adoptive parents. We promise that your child willbe well cared for, that he or she will grow up with enriching opportunities, anda tremendous amount of love.
