Jeremy and Heather
Dear Friend,
Your decision to place your baby for adoption is an act of unconditional love. We would be honored if you would consider us as part of your plan to offer your baby a bright future with our loving family.
We are a happily married couple living in Colorado. Our home is located in a safe, peaceful, and friendly neighborhood. Schools, churches, and shopping are nearby, with driving time of ten minutes. The public school system offers preschool through twelfth grades. Education is extremely important to us and we would be thrilled to become involved as parents in the school system and provide our child with an excellent education.
We are interested in an open adoption, where we will exchange letters and photos through the agency for the first three years and after that with a lawyer. After the child turns 18, they will be able to decide if they would like to look the birth parents up or not. We would like to exchange first names only.
Regardless of what you ultimately decide, we would like to thank you for reading about us and considering us to be a part of your plan. May you make the best decision for you and your baby and we look forward to talking to you.

What Jeremy love about Heather
Heather and I met when I was working at the fire station. Heather came in to put in her application to join the volunteer Fire Department. To be honest, it was love at first sight and we spent many nights just talking and hanging out at the fire station. It took me some time to get enough courage to ask Heather out. Our first date was a night at the movies to watch Legend of Sleepy Hollow and from that night, we have been inseparable.
I love the fact that my wife is just a "girl from the farm". She has a deep love for animals and nature. Heather has a very strong work ethic thanks to her work and growing up on the family farm. She always pays attention to detail and uses this in her relationships with family and friends, as well as at work. Heather also has a very strong sense of leadership and she always gives selflessly to better our community. Putting others first is one way Heather demonstrates her kind heart. She genuinely cares about other people and wants to help in any way she can.
Heather is a beautiful person, inside and out. She has no limits on her ability to love and I know she will make a wonderful mommy. I can't wait for the day when we can begin our family together.
What Heather loves about Jeremy
Jeremy is fun to be with and he is easy to talk to. He is very supportive in our marriage and I am thankful that we can make decisions together. Jeremy is a loving, caring person and this shows in our relationship as well as in his relationships with other family members, friends, and coworkers. He is always eager to help others. With his job at the Fire Department, he enjoys teaching fire prevention in the schools. It is important to him to do all he can to keep children and the community safe.
Jeremy is a strong leader and has a wonderful sense of humor. I love the fact that he can have a good time but he also knows when it is time to be serious. The thing I love most about Jeremy is his ability to love children of all ages and I know he will make a terrific daddy. In fact he says becoming a father would be the greatest gift he could ever receive.
Jeremy and I share our belief in God. Due to our schedules, being active in a church has been difficult up to this point. However, with our changing schedules, we plan to become more involved in church.

Family is very important to us. We are currently working on our family tree and learning more about our ancestors. Our families are very excited for us to become parents. There are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandmothers, and grandfathers anxiously waiting to welcome our newest member to the family. Both of our families value family tradition, education, respect, honesty, creativity, and community. It is amazing to look through our family generations and see how these values have shaped our lives. We look forward to raising a child with these same values and watching them become a creative and successful individual.
We have a special kind of family. Our families knew each other long before Jeremy and I began to date. This makes it possible for us to bring both families together. We both come from large families and the laughter and fun that each person brings to our holidays and celebrations is special. Birthdays and anniversaries are as important to us as Christmas and Thanksgiving. I love to bake and decorate cakes so that is my job for family events. Jeremy loves to barbecue so he keeps busy grilling for many family events. Both of our families live close by so we have numerous opportunities to get together and it is always like Thanksgiving; tons of food, fun, laughter, and memories.
We also have a second family. It is our friends and coworkers with the fire department. We get together quite often just to enjoy each other's company and share laughter and sometimes tears. One big event is our July Fourth celebration. We spend most of the day getting everything set up for the community firework show. Everyone shows up early in the morning and we hang out, eat, and play games. It is big project but it is also a time of great fun for everyone. Every August the public pool gives the fire department an evening to use the pool for a private party. The entire fire department and their families attend. We enjoy barbecuing, games, swimming, and spending time with our family.
We live in a two story home in Colorado. We have four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large backyard with a privacy fence. There is a large family room upstairs and a game room downstairs. Our home is self-renovated and self-decorated, complete with a large picture window that allows us to see the front yard and street. We feel that our home is clean, but not by any means a museum. It is comfortable, pet friendly and child friendly with plenty of room to play and run on our lot and a half.
Our nursery is located only a few steps away from our bedroom at the front of the house. It is painted white with yellow trim and decorated with Baby Looney Tunes. It is ready to welcome a baby. We have some clothing that we have picked up and we also have several baby blankets that we used when we were babies.
We live less than two minutes from most of the schools in our community, including preschools, which our children will attend as soon as they are of age.
Our neighborhood is made up of retired couples and two younger couples who recently moved to the neighborhood; one is a school teacher and the other is a youth minister for a local church. Everyone in our neighborhood watches out for one another. Neighbors are quiet and friendly; often dropping by to visit when they see us outside.
We live in a small, rural agricultural community where everyone knows each other. It is nice to be walking down the street and have people stop to say hello. People are known for helping our community members, as well as travelers in need. It is wonderful to live in our peaceful community where we have built our home as a couple. Now we are ready for the next step in our lives; children.

Sports are important in our community. Whether it is a high school homecoming game or little league baseball, the community members are there to cheer on the players. The Recreation Department offers many opportunities for softball and baseball for all ages, wrestling, soccer, and football. Square dancing is another major activity for the youth in our community. Tap, jazz, and ballet classes are also offered; as well as gymnastics. The local bowling alley offers bowling fun for families. Local churches offer youth groups for all ages and often plan trips to Christian concerts for the older children. Our community also has wonderful parks with playgrounds, picnic areas, Frisbee golf, and walking trails; including a bird watching trail with many different species of birds. A skateboard park and a skating rink are available for the skaters. The public pool has been renovated; complete with a huge slide, and youth of all ages spend many summer hours cooling off there.
The Enchanted Forest is located downtown. It is open year round but during the holidays it is home for Santa and Mrs. Claus, who arrive during the Parade of Lights that is held every year. It is a great time to get community members out and everyone lines the streets to enjoy the beautiful lights.
The public library offers a summer reading program that encourages children to keep reading year round. They schedule many activities and events to keep the children excited about reading and learning. Many businesses offer coupons as rewards for the young readers. It is always a big hit during the summer months.
Summer time also means spending time at the County Fair. Everyone enjoys the rodeo, barbecue, demolition derby, parade, and all of the animals. Children of all ages are encouraged to enter projects. Many of the children are involved with 4-H; which Heather was involved in for twelve years. Thanks to the structure of the club, she learned many valuable life skills and how the interview process works; which she has been able to use in job interviews.
As a child, Jeremy was involved with Boy Scouts and enjoyed campouts, friends, and learned to be a good leader in the community. Girl Scouts are also available for girls.
Friends are important to us. To us, friends are like family. These wonderful people are always there for us and we are always there for them. Support and encouragement from our friends is extremely important and they are all very excited for us to become parents. Creating memories with friends will continue as we build our family as our child plays with their children and create friendships of their own.
We enjoy spending time with our two nieces and one nephew every chance we get. We love to spoil them, play with them, and just have fun. Looking at the world through their eyes reminds us of what childhood is all about. We also enjoy spending time with the children of our fellow firefighters. It is always an adventure when we all get together.
At this time our family includes three dogs, Wolf, Savannah, and Max; two horses, Jackie and Blossom; and our many cat children.
Our dogs are well-trained, child friendly, and respect our home. It has taken a great deal of love, consistency, and care to train them and we are very proud of pets.
- Wolf: Our 12 year old Belgian Malinois is very obedient, and loves everyone. He was given to us as a gift and he was brought over from Holland and trained in Dutch.
- Savannah: Our 9 year old Siberian Husky is our loyal couch dog. Heather always wanted a Husky and was very happy to find Savannah at a pet store.
- Max: Our 7 year old Chiweiner loves attention and thoroughly enjoys his time as a couch dog. He became part of the family when he was found abandoned at a local lumber yard.
Our cats are all child friendly as well.
- Yoda: Our 9 year old male is very friendly. We found him outside after we moved into our house. He was just a little ball of fur at the time and has grown into a beautiful cat.
- Baby Girl: Our 5 year old female is friendly and very loving. She enjoys being outside most of the time. She was a rescue kitten that was raised from a bottle. She was found under a trailer house without a mother.
- Tiggy: Our 8 year old is Yoda's son. He is very friendly.
- Babycakes: Our 6 year old rescue cat was raised from a bottle. He is very loving and he was found outside in the cold.
- Mamma Kitty: She is approximately 8-9 years old. She is also a rescue cat that someone left behind in their apartment. She is very loving, friendly, and enjoys being outside most of the time.
- Mr. Boo: He is approximately 9 years old and loves being outside. He enjoys going to visit all of the little old ladies in the neighborhood. They let him in and he will hang out with them most of the day and then come home. He is also a rescue cat whose owner no longer wanted him.
- Monster: She was approximately 9 months old when we found her outside the local hospital. She is just a loving, friendly ball of fur when she is not busy running around the house.
Our two horses currently live just outside of city limits with our friends, Chris and Amanda.
- Jackie is a 12 year old mare. She is saddle broke, kid friendly, and very gentle. We enjoy spending time riding her.
- Blossom is Jackie's daughter and she is 2 years old. She is halter broke and growing fast. We look forward to her training and being able to ride her eventually.
