Jackie and Joe
Dear Birthmother,
We would like to introduce ourselves to you; we are Joe and Jackie and we live in Southern California. We feel very humbled and honored that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We have been married for 14 years and we are parents to a wonderful son. We would like to see our family continue to grow and hopefully we will one day be blessed with another child. We thank you for considering adoption for your baby as this decision takes an incredible amount of courage, selflessness, and faith.
Our Family
We met in college 20 years ago and have lived in Southern California since we were married in 1996. Our son, Will, was born in 2002 and that time is still vivid in our memories as we are so blessed to have him in our lives. Family is so important to us and we hope that we can continue to grow our family through adoption. We have always considered adoption as an option to expand our family and have friends and family members that have adopted or were adopted themselves. We see the amazing gift of adoption in their lives and would like to share in this wonderful experience.
Jackie
I was born and raised in Northern California in a traditional Italian household. I met Joe in our senior year of college and we have been together ever since. I have followed a career in education for the last 19 years. I am grateful that I can give back to the world by impacting the life of children. My job also provides the flexibility for me to attend family and school events which allows me to maintain an important balance between work and family life. As far as my interests, I enjoy reading and have attended a book club every month for the past 11 years. I also enjoy running and spending time with my family on the weekends and especially attending my son’s extracurricular activities.
Joe
I was born in Southern California and have lived in many different places across the United States and Europe. I am currently working at a large defense contracting company and my job allows me the freedom to pick up my son early to coach his baseball team, surf, play basketball, or just spend quality time together. I am also an avid runner and love to play golf. I enjoyed taking our family to France on vacation this past summer and exploring the country together while experiencing everything through our son’s eyes.
Will
Will was born in 2002 and was named after our brothers; Mike, Michael, and Bill. He is an amazing child full of love and excitement for life. He is sensitive and giving and loves to take care of his cats and his little cousin, Alex. Will truly would love a little sister or brother. He is such a giving child and with the most incredible heart. We are so blessed to have Will in our lives and look forward to the many years and experiences ahead.
Our Furry Family Members
In 2008, we decided to add a furry member to our family. When we went to see some kittens at a cat breeder’s home, we automatically fell in love with two adorable ones from the same litter. Their names are Casey and Simba and we absolutely love our sweet furry family members. We call Will the “cat catcher,” since he loves playing with the cats, but usually has to catch them first since their idea of play is a little different than a little boy’s.
Our Families
We have wonderful families that mostly live close by or a short plane ride away. We see our families often and look forward to spending the holidays and celebrating special occasions together. We are very close to our brothers, sisters, and parents. They are all wonderful people with amazing compassion and love for family. We are especially grateful to our parents for leading the way and providing us and their grandchildren their continual love and support.
Our Home
We love our home and our neighborhood is extremely welcoming with lots of children. We live right across the street from our son’s elementary school which is part of a great school district. Our neighbors are wonderful and we all help each other out and take turns playing with the kids. Our home is also a place where we all eat dinner at the table together, read books, do homework, enjoy games and movies, and relax.
