Choose A Family : Parent Profile
Dear Birthmother,
We feel honored that you are considering us and would be the happiest couple to become parents through the miracle that is adoption. We think you are courageous and loving and will provide your child with laughter, love, an education and activities that they choose to enhance themselves, as well as a warm, extended family who welcomes them with loving arms.
We are humbled and grateful that you are considering us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

OUR STORY So Far….
We met when we were both working in the same headhunting firm and became fast friends. We were dating other people and would talk about our relationships.
Soon after we stopped dating other people, we began to hang out together with a group of friends. Often, we would all go to karaoke and sing duets such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ Islands in the We felt we had known each other forever. After six months, Jace came home to meet Alicia’s parents and spent Christmas together which is when he asked her father if he could marry her. On December 30th, in front of the office building where we first met, he proposed. We got married on the beach six months later with our family and friends.
Today, we still live in California but have different jobs then when we first met. Jace is a marketing and sales executive and Alicia is a school-based therapist at a school for children with learning differences.
All of our friends told us we should be dating, and we knew it as well. Soon our friendship had blossomed into love.

MEET Alicia by Jace
Alicia stole a job from me. I had been hired to help run the technical side of a legal placement firm, and when I came into work the first day, a vision of beauty was sitting in my chair. It was Alicia, and she had been hired for the same gig. Who knew the woman who stole my job would also steal my heart? Actually, it was not much of shock to anyone that met her that she and I were meant to be together. My best friend once said, “Alicia is 100% exactly what I would have thought your ideal woman would be.” And she is… the funniest person I know, she sings made up songs, does funny voices and can make me smile any time. Alicia is the very definition what I find beautiful. She is so bright and dedicated and will focus every fiber of her being towards the things she is passionate about. Her passion and her sweet loving nature will make her an incredible mom. Our decision to adopt a child has invigorated her. She spends hours researching, learning about and longing to be a mother. I can’t wait to have a family with her.
Meet Jace by Alicia
Jace is incredibly thoughtful and sweet. Jace is adventurous and is always excited to explore; whether it be hiking in Joshua Tree National Park (he even offered to carry me after a long hike!), San Francisco, ice-fishing in Minnesota with me and my brother-in-law, hiking in the Adirondack mountains, or beach camping with our Chihuahuas.
Jace is playful and has a great sense of humor. Our friend’s 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter love it when he plays “monster” and hide and seek with them. They also say he’s funny because when he reads books to them, he gives each character a different funny voice.
When we were dating, I had told him about how when I was 13, I absolutely loved roller-skating in my blue shiny skating jacket at the local rink. One day, I came home and on my doorstep were roller skates and a blue satin jacket with my name embroidered on it!
Friends & Family
We feel so fortunate to have really great friends and family who are so excited to welcome a new addition to the family! Our friends say they are also excited to have a new playmate for their children as well!
Family is important to us. Alicia talks to her mother on the phone daily! Every year, we get the entire extended family and go on a family trip together. We have great memories from these times. We’ve gone to such places as Canada, the beaches of North Carolina and explored all over California. Every Christmas we meet up with family in Minnesota and have a white Christmas. We usually go ice fishing and skating. We are not so coordinated on skates, but it’s fun!
